Kineta Inc. is focused on developing broad spectrum antiviral therapies for the treatment of RNA viruses which cause suffering for millions of people around the world. RNA viruses include Hepatitis C, Influenza, West Nile virus and even the common cold. Many of these conditions and are among the most challenging to treat because of the limited number of effective drugs. In addition to antiviral therapies our unique scientific approach to drug development also has great potential applications to modulate the immune system for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and their associated inflammation.

Our founding scientists pioneered an area of research long overlooked by traditional biotech and pharmaceutical companies, focusing their work on enhancing the human immune response to infection as opposed to the more traditional approach of eradicating virus. We believe this approach will not only yield less toxic therapies, but medicines with multiple applications to treat diseases caused by RNA viruses and also auto immune diseases such as Type 1 Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Kineta’s unique scientific focus, on the host response to infection also holds substantial promise for the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections and for addressing the challenge of drug resistance.

At Kineta, our team has proven leadership in its ability to find and advance new targets for pharmaceutical research. We will continue to leverage this advantage to develop new therapeutic compounds with the vision of delivering both new medicines and new hope to patients, worldwide.
